Hellerman

onathan Hellerman is the organist at Little Flower Catholic Church in Bethesda, Maryland, and also plays at other churches in the Washington DC area.

As a home-schooler, he was introduced to the pipe organ through a scholarship program run by the Potomac Organ Institute. He went on to study at the Catholic University of America, Benjamin T. Rome School of Music where he graduated in 2008 (summa cum laude) with a major in organ performance and a minor in composition. Mr. Hellerman has studied organ with Dr. Jeffrey Pannebaker and Dr. Robert Grogan, and composition with Dr. Anthony Randolph and Dr. Andrew Simpson. His compositions were regularly heard at new music events on campus.

Mr. Hellerman is active in liturgical music in both the Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms of the Mass, as an organist, accompanist, and singer. He is also the rehearsal accompanist for the Friday Morning Music Club chorale. Mr. Hellerman is the composer in residence for Leftfield Studios, the makers of multiple award-winning amateur films.
