ody Mead is Director of Music at Saint Monica Catholic Church in Dallas TX.
He received his training primarily at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester; his teachers have included Dr. William Decker, Mary Decker, Mark Laubach, Paulo Faustini, Georgette Hutchins, and Dr. William Porter.
In 2020 he returned to his hometown of Bloomsburg PA to serve as Organist and Director of Music at Wesley United Methodist Church.
He also founded the Bloomsburg Singers, a new community choir bringing new and meaningful musical opportunities to singers and music lovers in the area.
Prior to this, Cody served for six years as Director of Music at historic Saint Mary Church in Newport, RI (site of the wedding of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier), where he directed four choirs and developed a robust music program serving adults and children of all ages and backgrounds from the entire state of Rhode Island.
While in Newport, Cody also worked as an educator, coach, accompanist, and conductor with Newport Music Festival, Newport Children's Theatre, Collegium Ancora, Ecclesia Consort of New England, and Ensemble Altera.
At Saint Monica Church in Dallas, Cody directs several choirs and manages a program utilizing the four-manual Nichols & Simpson pipe organ and a seven-octave set of Schulmerich handbells.
