Andrew

avid Andrew was born in Marlborough UK, and educated principally in Brighton. He won an organ scholarship to Saint Peter College, Oxford, where he read Music, and was in charge of the Chapel Choir. He then studied conducting at the Royal College of Music under Norman Del Mar.

Having moved back to Oxford, he found employment at the Dragon School as Assistant Director of Music, and later became Director of Music there. He then took up similar positions at Sedbergh School, and at Saint Mary School, Ascot, composing regularly for the various musical groups under his charge.

He and his wife, Anne, have lived in Church Stretton, Shropshire for over thirty years, the most recent of those being with their border collie, Walter. He is the organist of Saint Milburga Roman Catholic Church in Church Stretton, where his compositions of sacred music for the choir include two Mass settings, a complete set of Responsorial Psalms, and a number of motets.
