ichael Carter was born in Portsmouth, United Kingdom, in 1990.
He started learning the organ at the age of 12 and accompanied Cathedral Masses from the age of 13.
He was awarded a Silver Bursary from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music for his performance in Grade 8 piano in 2005.
He earned an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Theology at Heythrop College, University of London, before completing his studies in organ and music theory through the Royal College of Organists, passing the diploma of Fellowship (FRCO) in 2021.
He has been active as a church musician and piano accompanist in schools and currently holds the position of Director of Music and organist of Saint Swithun Church, Southsea.
