Gleba

avid Joseph Gleba was born in El Paso, Texas, the son of an officer in the United States Army. During his childhood, his family traveled extensively, including a lengthy period in Europe. At an early age, he taught himself to play piano.

Mr. Gleba has served as organist and music director at many churches and these experiences have given him a particular fondness for sacred choral music. He is entirely self-taught in the art of musical composition, having studied the scores of Mozart and others. His composition specialty is the Viennese Classical style of the late eighteenth century.

He performs in addition to composing. He also teaches harmony, counterpoint, composition, piano, harpsichord, clavichord and organ in his home in Branford, Connecticut.
