torm Knien, originally from Seattle, currently makes his home in Austin, Texas.
He holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees from the University of Washington, and the Master of Music degree from UT Austin, with musical studies at L'Eglise de La Sainte Trinité in Paris, France.
Storm is currently pursuing a doctorate in music at UT Austin.
His primary teachers have included Dr. Carole Terry, Dr. Naji Hakim, Dr. Gerre Hancock, Dr. James Savage, and Abraham Kaplan.
Having served as organist or music director at five parishes since 1996, in August 2005 Storm was appointed Director of Music at Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church, Austin.
There are a number of compositions to his credit, including works for piano, flute, organ, choir, computer, and a variety of ensembles.
Storm is active as a recitalist, accompanist and teacher.
He has performed in and around Seattle, Boston, Paris, Mazatlan, and Austin.
Storm also performs in an organ-flute duo with his wife, Ann.
