This is an easy and effective motet for any Marian feast day.
The text comes from the Communion Antiphon for feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
Beata viscera Mariæ Virginis,
quæ portaverunt æterni Patris Filium.
Contributing to the ease of learning, the tri-partite motet begins and ends with a strict canon at the octave, between female and male voices.
The middle section has unison phrases for women, then men, and then a simple two-part phrase.
Scored for two-part mixed choir and organ, Beata viscera offers an uncomplicated, beautiful motet, perfect for summer Marian feasts or anytime a quick piece in honor of the Blessed Virgin is needed!
