Here is a beautiful setting of the Offertory Antiphon for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
Assumpta est Maria in cœlum,
gaudent angeli,
collaudantes benedicunt Dominum.
Alleluia.
The motet can be sung straight through, with text as shown above; the composer has also noted various repeats which can be taken to extend its length.
Written in the style of Renaissance polyphony, it also contains numerous interpretive dynamic suggestions.
The music is accessible and the ranges are quite comfortable, as expected given the composer and his affinity for writing practical music for the parish choir.
While notated for SSA choir, this could easily be sung by men's voices instead.
