This energetic piece by Italian Baroque composer Giovanni Battista Riccio is a very lively solo for low voice [range C to C], with an equally interesting organ (or harpsichord) accompaniment.
It sets the four phrases of the Marian antiphon for Eastertide, with abundant Alleluias.
This is a joy to sing, a joy to play, and a joy to hear!
It could also be used as a very effective anthem for a unison choir — a treble group would sound especially lovely!
