Here's an easy wedding solo for medium-high voice that's short enough for the many brief moments in the Marriage ceremony/Mass that call for music.
Only three pages long, this music is within the grasp of almost any soloist.
The text is from I John 3:7, 11-13.
Beloved, let us love one another,
because love is from God;
everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
Beloved, since God loved us so much,
we also ought to love one another.
No one has ever seen God;
if we love one another God lives in us,
and his love is perfected in us.
Beloved, let us love one another.
The vocal range is C# to F# and the organ accompaniment enhances rather than doubles the voice part.
This is an effective wedding solo, but can also be sung on Sundays in Ordinary Time and during Eastertide.
