Liturgical Hints & Ideas
The beautiful text, "Ubi caritas et amor," drawn from the liturgy of Holy Thursday, has many wonderful settings. Among them are those by Maurice Duruflé in his Quatre motets, and those by Richard Proulx (with handbells), Jacques Berthier (of the Taizé Community) and Ola Gjeilo. For a most refeshing anthem, little can compare to the unison chant, sung very simply by alternating men and women.
