Liturgical Hints & Ideas

This beautiful celebration, dating back to the 10th century, most often occurs during Lent. A Gloria and Credo are prescribed, but no Alleluia. If this solemnity falls on a Sunday of Lent, it is transfered to the next day (Monday). If it falls on Palm Sunday, it is observed on the day before (Saturday, March 18). If it falls during Holy Week, it is transfered to the first available date: Monday after the Second Sunday of Easter.
