The music is in neums (chant notation), but without the florid melismas of more complicated chants, so the selections in the book are easier to read.
CanticaNOVA Publications also publishes a chant textbook, A Plain & Easy Introduction to Gregorian Chant, by Dr. Susan Treacy.
The volume now contains English translations for each Latin chant.
