A Gloria in a minor mode is often just the right music to add solemnity and grace to the Introductory Rites.
Gloria in d by Don Roy is a responsorial setting for SATB choir, congregation, organ and brass quartet (2 trumpets, 2 trombones).
The piece can be used with only organ accompaniment as well.
The verses for accompanied choir are written in various textures (women, men, full choir homophonic, simple polyphonic).
We publish three versions of Gloria in d
- Full score: including SATB, organ, brass, and a separate congregation box
- Choir part: SATB choir parts, no accompaniment
- Brass parts: parts for Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Trombone 1, Trombone 2
Don Roy serves as Organist and Choir Director for two historic downtown churches in Lexington, Kentucky: Saint Peter's and Saint Paul's.
