Lisa Stafford has given us a strong text, with a certain Medieval flavor, for this anthem, which opens:
For love us us poor sinners bound, The Son of God to earth came down.
The second verse leads us to the Cross of Christ, and in the third verse we offer our hearts as a dwelling place for Him.
Long-time CNP composer, Stephen McManus, sets the text to a lovely d minor melody.
A flute plays during the introduction, interludes, and the last verse, adding color to this easy anthem.
Ideal for children's choir (the melody is easily learned), this piece could also be sung as a solo by a medium voice.
The range is from middle C to top space E.
