Liturgical Hints & Ideas

The royal solemnity of today's celebration can be highlighted with brass music — even a high school trumpeter on a hymn or Mass parts can be effective. Pull out the Messiah choruses and the beloved settings of Psalm 23. Festive occasions, like the Solemnity of Christ the King, might be perfect opportunities to demonstrate the Latin rite as celebrated properly in Rome by using a brilliant organ toccata after the dismissal.
