Liturgical Hints & Ideas
Highlight the mercy of God by singing the Penitential Act. Various chant settings of the Kyrie eleison are simple (and perhaps familiar) enough for the congregation to sing with or without music. The power of Gregorian chant to set a mood and convey a prayerful atmosphere must never be overlooked or shunned, particularly not with the excuse of Latin being "old-fashioned."
