Liturgical Hints & Ideas

On the last Sunday before the Lent, Alleluia should have a prominent place in hymns and music. The contrast between the festivity of today and the starkness of next Sunday should be obvious. Remember that organ music is prohibited at Mass during Lent, except to accompany singing — the Church seeks to set the season of Lent apart, a penitential period when we are deprived of even the beauty of organ music.
